Happy New Year! I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season. Rather than a tutorial or video, I thought I would share with you our plans for the 5 Minute Bookkeeping Blog in 2018. First, I have heard many wonderful things from our blog readers saying how 5MinuteBookkeeping has helped them and their business. It brings me so much joy to hear this. You see, this blog has truly been a labor of love and in the beginning, I didn’t even know if anyone was reading our content! My desire has always been to help small business owners and bookkeepers and I’m glad that my team and I are still able to do that. Looking back at 2017
2017 was a great year for the 5 Minute Bookkeeping Blog, including getting thousands of visits each month and being recognized in the Top Accounting Blogs, Top Small Business Blogs, and recently as the #1 Bookkeeping blog. I am truly honored by these awards.
Looking forward to 2018
As I, and the team here at 5 Minute Bookkeeping, look forward to 2018, we have some very exciting changes in store. I’ll share with you the highlights.
New Facebook Community
Our Facebook community (5 Minute Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online) is growing! Whether you are a small business owner, accountant, bookkeeper, employee, volunteer, relative (and more) using QuickBooks Online – our goal is to grow as a community helping each other with bookkeeping, QuickBooks, financial, business, and business growth topics.

Updated tutorials
Did you know that we have over 50 free QuickBooks Online tutorials on our blog? In fact, we continue to add new tutorials. As you know, QuickBooks Online has been through several changes in the past couple of years. As a result, we will be updating our blog content and videos to reflect recent changes. We expect that it will take all year to update our content – but we think it’ll be well worth it.

More video content
I’ve decided that 2018 is the year of video. We are planning to add a lot more video to our blog posts. I’ve also started a video series call “REAL – the joys and challenges of being a small business owner”. This is where I share in a more relaxed setting what’s going on with my week and lessons learned.
